Using Aligned Self

Aligned Self is a mindset, reflection, and personal growth product. The website provides articles and information about the app. The app provides guided tools such as journalling, affirmations, reflections, reminders, and goal-related features.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website or the app.

Aligned Self is not medical, psychiatric, therapeutic, or crisis-care advice and does not replace professional healthcare. If you are in distress or need urgent support, contact an appropriate qualified professional or emergency service.

Accounts and access

• You are responsible for using a valid email address that you control when creating or accessing an account.
• You are responsible for keeping access to your email account and devices secure.
• We may suspend or terminate access if we believe an account or service is being misused, attacked, or used unlawfully.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create in the app, including goals, reflections, gratitude entries, and notes.

You grant us the limited rights needed to host, store, process, sync, and display that content so the service can function for you.

Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the website or app, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, or use Aligned Self for unlawful purposes.
• Do not copy, scrape, exploit, reverse engineer, or redistribute the service, content, or software beyond what is permitted by law.
• Do not submit spam, abusive material, or content that infringes the rights of others.

Subscriptions and App Store purchases

Premium subscriptions are sold through Apple In-App Purchase. Billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple under Apple policies.

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, your use of the app must also comply with Apple terms, including Apple minimum end-user license terms.

Intellectual property

The Aligned Self brand, website design, written content, software, visual assets, and audio are owned by Emily's Apps Limited or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Availability and changes

We may update, improve, pause, or remove parts of the website or app at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the service will always be error-free.

Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Aligned Self is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Emily's Apps Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business interruption arising from your use of the website or app.

Ending use

You may stop using Aligned Self at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated or if continued access would create security, legal, or operational risk.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page.
